Religion that God our Father
accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows ….
James 1:27
For the past few years, I have been hearing about an Advent Conspiracy, which is a holistic approach to Christmas. I would like to propose a Valentine’s Day Conspiracy: let’s turn Valentine’s Day into a day where we reach out to and comfort those who suffer from a relationship void. This year, consider how you might love and care for:
– single parents
– those who have lost a spouse or parent
– those who live with loneliness
– those who have lost a spouse or parent
– those who live with loneliness
Valentine’s Day must surely be an even lonelier time for these literal or figurative widows and orphans. I invite you to join in this conspiracy to help them feel the passion of God’s love on this day.
Adapted from my Valentine’s Day post 2009.
I like this! It made me think of a widow who lost her husband recently. Keep sharing these conspiracy ideas.
what a great idea !
Hey there Sara,
I have been in the room here a bit off and on, but, though I thought I did, I may have not left any comments. I will however commend you on this Valentines Day Idea…as well, …Well, for all of your wonderful thoughts and leading’s toward our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I do hope everything is beginning to get somewhat back onto an even keel for your family and friends in the Nashville area. I know from first hand experience how devastating flood waters, which take your livelihood down stream with it when it finally decides to wash away. The smelly after-math alone, is enough to discourage one from even wanting to start over in the same place. Anyway God Bless, and keep up the great work.

My Dad also appreciate your comments on “Your Story Matters”. I manage his blog, but he reads all of his comments.
My parents have had a lot of help with the flooding damage and things are getting back to normal.
I also read your blog from time to time. It is obvious that you have a heart for God.
Joy and Peace,
Sara
