Your life is a journey that you must travel
with a deep consciousness of God.
1 Peter 1:18 The Message
This prayer, written by Joanna Weaver, challenges me to live my life with a constant consciousness of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Lord Jesus, I give You my life.
I invite You to have Your way in me.
Take me and break me.
Shake me and make me.
Fill me and spill me.
Change me and rearrange me.
But whatever You do Lord …
Don’t leave me the same.
Spirit of wisdom and revelation,
I welcome your work.
Open my eyes so I can see …
My ears so I can hear …
I choose truth over comfort,
Challenge over complacency.
Lord, make me forever Yours.
And most of all, make me like You.
Amen.

Amen! 🙂
Sara,
I love the prayer you picked. It is all about listening to the heart of our Father through the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead. He defines reality. He is with you, and He keeps his promises (and they continue to restore life). Jesus Christ is in you, and will continue to refresh you. The Holy Spirit will give you the Power to act in timely ways. Your words are timely and call me to surrender to Him in a wonderful way to Him today. Love you, Dad
That verse stopped me in my tracks! Had to read the whole chapter after looking at your site. Thank you!!
Sara,
I have missed reading your thoughts. I have not received any updates since you’ve been back. I guess I need to resubscribe and I’ll do that next.

Great poem. I love the part about not leaving us the same as we were before. Change is hard, but necessary.
