All were amazed at the gracious words
That came from His lips.
Luke 4:22
Question of the day:
Are the words that come from my lips gracious?
~ God of Grace ~
You are the gracious One.
Please help the words that I speak
and the tone of my voice to be kind.
Please help those who hear my
words know they are loved by You.
“In Jesus’ name, amen.”

For my Dad, who shows me Jesus’ love with his words.
My Dad wrote a poem about the importance of our words.
God’s gracious hand

I also told them about
The gracious hand of
My God upon me.
Nehemiah 2:18

Since September, I have been studying the Life of Moses with a lovely group of women. Last Wednesday was our last day to be together, so we had a time of sharing. It was a rich morning of feasting on the stories God has been writing in our lives. Two women shared what they want the Lord to say to them when it comes time to be “gathered to their people” (based on Deuteronomy 32:50). Judy said she wants the Lord to say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Pat said she wants to hear, “She did as the Lord commanded.”
Both women talked about the legacy they want to leave behind. We are all leaving a legacy, and as we live our story, we get to choose what that legacy will be…
I am reading the book To Be Told, by Dan Allender, Ph.D., and he highlights the importance of telling each other our stories. The book jacket says, “By reading To Be Told, you will gain a clear sense of how God has written your life so far, and how God is leading you into the rest of your story. God wants you to read your story from its beginning — every chapter, both the hope and the heartache. He helps you understand the brokenness as well as the joy.”

The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears.
Isaiah 50:5
~ God of Grace ~
Please help us to listen carefully to Your words
and help our ears hear what You are saying.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessed are your…ears because they hear. Matthew 13:16

I called out to My God…
He heard my voice;
my cry came to His ears.
2 Samuel 22:7
It is comforting to me to know that God hears me. He usually does not answer as quickly as I want or send the answers I want, but it still encouraging to know that I have been heard.
.
My children often ask me for things they do not need or for something they are going to get in the future. My five-year-old son frequently asks for a new bike. He is going to get a new bike, but not until his birthday. In the same way, God knows what we need and when we need it. It is a part of faith to trust Him and to wait.
He hears

My heart is in anguish within me…
But I call to God,
and the Lord saves me.
Evening, morning and noon
I cry out in distress,
and He hears my voice.
Psalm 55:4,16-17
~ God of Grace ~
Please help me.
Please heal me.
Sustain and uphold me.
Release me…
For You are powerful.
You care and You love me.
I proclaim Your love in the morning.
I proclaim Your faithfulness at night.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
